Red lipstick can be too overpowering for some people. Red lipstick can be a life saver for some others. To me, red lipstick is a statement. An unspeakable power, still, it’s echoing all around.
Last two months I received a box with full of lipstick marks. It’s the same exact feeling when you got a gift you have wanted so much and out of nowhere, somebody gave you that. Glorious.
I think I have to tell you this because I don’t feel I’m tired of telling this: I love red lipsticks. And a collection full of red lipstick?
And they stood strong inside the box, waiting for me to take at least a good photograph before, unfortunately swatch them. Well that was a very hard moment for me to swatch them! I’m not gonna lie about that. I wish I have another set of these 16 gorgeous shades of red so I don’t have to worry that I will ‘ruin’ them.
And the photo up there was really fresh out of the box. It was two weeks before I finally swatched them on my lips and my heart died a little. If I had to describe, it’s a feeling between happy that I swatched them, and sad that I had to.
First thing first, these lipsticks are indeed beautiful. The luxurious black-colored packaging is made from some sort of metal material with magnetic closure attached in between the cap and the body. It’s heavy enough, which is the plus point because I think everything plastic makes things looks cheap. Shiseido logo type is also printed on the holder, and the logo icon is on top of the caps.
But the packaging only adds more perfection to the actual product, which has beautiful yet unique slanted edges and also, the Shiseido logo type printed onto it.
So sorry this photo couldn’t do any justice.
Shiseido seems always making all of their products sophisticated, and hi-tech. These 16 shades of red is made with Vibrant Red Color Technology, which I don’t know exactly what is that, but I’m pretty sure it’s cool. Haha! But, they also explains in this statement:
Vibrant Red Color Technology works in five different ways to deliver the perfect red color pigment to lips.
And other good stuffs you need to know:
These lipsticks are infused with S Hyaluronic Acid Complex and S Hydro-Wrap Vitalizing DE EX, which deliver rich moisture for smooth shapely-looking lips. Or in simple definition: the lipstick is highly moisturizing. Don’t you just tired with dull-looking matte lipsticks? Hehe.
These lipsticks also have Fit and Bond Powder so they will not fade easily, which makes them last for about 4 good hours and more.
Shiseido Rouge Rouge is created for you who lost in the way of finding your perfect red lipstick. I mean, not all people can easily spot a red that suits them. When you think of red lipstick, you probably think of bright, or even dark reds only but not with this collection. I mean, Shiseido created 16 different shades of reds and these reds are divided into four ‘type’ of reds:

As you can see from the photos above, NOT ALL red is red as you think. This range has reds to suit everyone with deep reds, vivid reds, bright reds, and even red-based nudes! So if you think that your pink lipstick is not included in red class, well maybe you haven’t got this idea: red is the basic color for lipsticks.
The Shiseido Rouge Rouge Lipstick is 380,000 IDR (28 USD) each and weighed about 4g for the product itself.
Guys, I finally have found my perfect red, which I think they really suit me:
Rose Crush, Bloodstone, Red Queen, Rouge Rum Punch, and Real Ruby. I know I’m greedy.
